Brotherwise Games' Call to Adventure is a fantasy storytelling game, where players take the role of a character to build their origin, motivations and destiny by collecting runes. The game supports solo and multiplayer modes. The gameplay is about 30-60 minutes. The artwork on the cards is fantastic, and the rune system instead of dice is original and fun. Even someone who prefers simpler RPGs can enjoy it since it is easy to learn. Setting up the game and putting it away is a breeze and only takes a minute or two. There are repeat cards in Call to Adventure and Call to Adventure: Epic Origins, but players only need one of the two. The only drawback is that drawing the same cards is starting to get a bit repetitive. They should have expansion packs for players who want to add more cards to the game. One can play the game solo against the boss or co-op against the boss. Call to Adventure: Epic Origins has a more in-depth solo play rule set, especially so how the Adversary affects the game. The latest version has a slightly different rule for solo play, and players can choose the original rules if they want. One needs to remember to tally up your destiny points before fighting the Adversary. It is possible to play Call to Adventure digitally through Tabletop Simulator (on Steam). It is unclear whether playing the physical game would work remotely.
