One customer was particularly impressed with the brightness and the versatility of the lantern, especially with the option to detach the LED lights and use them separately. Another customer took the initiative to upgrade the lantern with rechargeable batteries and a charging port, making it a proper rechargeable lantern. However, there were some drawbacks mentioned by customers. One customer was disappointed to find out that the USB connection was meant for attaching a cell phone and not for recharging the lantern.
