Dostoyevski Kumarbaz'da tutkulu bir aşkla kumar tutkusunu bir arada anlatırken insan ruhunun derinliklerini büyük bir güçle sergilemiştir.Koray Karasulu (1975): İ.Ü. Rus Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümü mezunudur. Rus edebiyatının kilometre taşları olan Puşkin, Dostoyevski, Tolstoy, Gogol, Gorki gibi yazarların önemli eserlerini Türkçeye çevirdi.
