How does the single drive system work on this spinning wheel?

The single drive system on the Ashford Traditional Wheel operates using a single drive band to connect the wheel to the bobbin. It's perfect for those looking to produce everything from fine lace to bulky yarn without switching to a more complex system.

Can I finish the Ashford wheel myself, and how?

Yes, one of the appealing features of the Ashford Traditional Single Drive Wheel is that it comes unfinished, allowing you to personalize its appearance. You can apply a wood finish, paint, or stain of your choice. To finish it, start with sanding to create a smooth surface, then apply your selected finish following the manufacturer instructions.
