Atlases & Gazetteers Editorial Review
The Iceland (National Geographic Adventure Map, 3302) is a valuable tool for travelers exploring the beautiful country. It has proven to be helpful in organizing travel plans and serving as a backup when GPS is unavailable or inaccurate. With detailed information on roads and attractions, it provides a reliable guide for navigating through Iceland. The map is sturdy and seemingly accurate, allowing users to easily locate towns and villages during their trips. It even includes the locations of ice formations in Iceland, adding an extra layer of information. However, there are some drawbacks to the map. Some users have mentioned that it leaves out certain roads and mislabels others. One specific issue is the discrepancy in road numbering in eastern Iceland, where Route 1 was rerouted in 2017. The map, based on data from 2019, does not reflect these changes, causing confusion for travelers. Overall, the Iceland (National Geographic Adventure Map, 3302) is a useful resource for exploring Iceland, providing detailed information on roads and attractions. However, users should be aware of potential mislabels and missing road information, particularly in the eastern part of the country.
