PAC Auxiliary Input Adapters AAI-GM12 Editorial Review

The PAC AAI-GM12 Dual Auxiliary Audio Input Interface has received mixed reviews from customers. While some customers have had success with the installation and functionality of this product, others have experienced confusion and difficulty. One customer mentioned that the installation was straightforward, connecting the power lead to the appropriate pin on the factory harness. They also installed a three-way switch for multiple audio options and connected two Y connectors for additional devices. They were pleased with the performance and sound quality, stating that it was a cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire head unit. Another customer shared their positive experience using the PAC AAI-GM12 in their 2004 Trailblazer with a Bose navigation radio and rear seat entertainment. They found the installation to be easy, only requiring a switch and an auxiliary cord to be connected to the glove box. They were satisfied with the functionality of the product. One customer, however, mentioned that they were disappointed with the sound quality when using this interface in their 2006 Avalanche. They found that there was interference and below satisfactory sound quality, particularly when the volume on their phone was set to maximum. They suggested that a Bluetooth head unit may be a better option. Some customers have also expressed frustration with the compatibility and instructions provided. One customer mentioned that despite the PAC website stating that this interface would work with their 2002 Impala, it did not. They found the instructions confusing and were disappointed by the lack of necessary components included with the product. Overall, the PAC AAI-GM12 has had a mixed reception among customers. While some have found success with the installation and performance, others have encountered compatibility issues, confusing instructions, and subpar sound quality.
