The Austin Air Healthmate air cleaner is a well-made, quiet, and effective product that is worth its high price. Customers were impressed with how quiet it runs even on full speed and it is effective in trapping micro respiratory droplets that people exhale while exercising. It helps people sleep better and not wake up with a headache. The product is made of metal, not cheap plastic. However, a few customers claimed that its top speed is too noisy to be useful in a room while conversation or television-watching is in progress. There is also a big gap between the first two speeds, which are quiet but move only a small amount of air, and the top speed. Replacement filters are also costly.
