The CRC MAF and Throttle Body Single-Use Twin Pack is a fantastic product that is relatively easy to use. It is important to note that before using the kit, you should know where the Mass Airflow Sensor is located and how to remove it. Most vehicles will have it located after the air filter and before the throttle body in the air duct. The kit's throttle body cleaner must be used with care as it's essential to let the engine cool down first. The duct going will be held by a hose clamp, which should be loosened so that you can take the hose off. Inside, there is a throttle plate that opens and closes, which you do not have to remove entirely to clean this. You can use a cloth, Q-tips, an old toothbrush, and spray the cleaner onto a rag and wipe the plate and the internals until it is clean. You should open the throttle plate depending on the car's year. You may be able to do it at the throttle body or have someone else turn the key on, but do not start the engine, and press on the accelerator pedal to open it. You can then clean the back of the plate and as much of the area that you can reach. This product works well for cleaning the mass air flow sensor and throttle body. It is crucial to follow directions and not interchange them. The product is quite sensitive to different sprays, so it is not recommended to use them interchangeably. The cans are sized to be used on a single cleaning, so only use the full bottle when cleaning a part.
