The 12" x 2" Trailer Electric Brake Assembly is a good product, but it is not self-adjusting. The brakes are easy to install, and they work great. The product comes with complete left and right assemblies, but it does not include bolts or studs. These brakes are equivalent to the Dexter Part #K23-181-00 and they will fit most common axles with a 5-bolt mounting pattern. The package includes one left and one right brake assembly suitable for working with Al-Ko, Dexter, and Quality Trailer Axles. The magnets in these brake kits are not polarized, and the wire can be either ground. The dimensions of the holes may vary, but they usually fit most common axles without any issues. Customers who have used this product have mostly left positive reviews, with some complaints about the mounting hardware. One customer received Chinese brakes mounting hardware that did not come with them and is still waiting for the hardware. Another customer received the wrong size of washers for the bolts, and the magnets were smaller than their old 7k backing plate assembly. However, most customers found the product to be exactly what they needed, and easy to install.
