répondre: My new switches did not have any wires on them and therefore no wire colors. I wrote wire colors on my new switches that matched the colors on my old switch terminals before unplugging them. -

répondre: Yes, as long as you are using it for the forward/reverse switch. -

répondre: In my use of the switch it works in conjunction with two other such switches (one of which is slightly different) to determine the direction my Club Car golf cart travels in. If the golf cart won't go in the direction you want changing out the switch(es) will generally correct the problem. I believe they work with some other golf carts and some other applications as well. -

My 1997 electric club car DS sometimes won't go into forward gear. Is this what I need?
répondre: If your car works in reverse, but won't go forward sometimes, these micro switches will not fix the problem. The problem is most likely the forward/reverse switch. Put the forward/reverse switch in the forward position and slightly press the go pedal. If the car does not move forward, wiggle the forward/reverse switch while in the forward position. If the car attempts to move, that will confirm that is the problem. -

What size are the terminals?
répondre: The terminals on the switch are small,,, about 1/4 inch by 1/32 inch. I did not go out and measure so this is a close approximation. -

répondre: Sorry, I do not know the answer to that. I would call the Club Car company if I were you. -

When I stop my gas cart it won't restart.
répondre: Depending on the wiring on your cart, this could be the problem. There are two of these on the shifter and two in the fuse box that the throttle moves when you press and release the gas pedal. If you have a test meter you can test continuity between two of the terminals. Then when you push the lever the continuity will switch to the third terminal. -

My 1988 club car DS wont work in reverse.
répondre: It's likely that one of your micro switches is bad but it could be something else. On our 1996 model DS Club Car (electric), there are three micro switches (two of one type and 1 of another type) that are located on the inside of where the shift arm goes. They're held in place all together by two small diameter long bolts. If your setup is like ours and you decide to change out one or more of the micro switches, I would recommend doing it on a hard flat surface like concrete. If you drop one of those tiny nuts it would be nearly impossible to find in the grass. You can find an owner's manual and parts diagrams online.

It works in conjunction with two other such switches to determine the direction of the golf cart. If the golf cart won't go in the direction you want, changing out the switch(es) will generally correct the problem. The terminals on the switch are small, about 1/4 inch by 1/32 inch. The product does not come with any wires on it, so the user needs to either match the wire colors with the original wire colors or write the corresponding wire colors on the new switch before unplugging them. Additionally, the 3-terminal switch can also be combined with the 2-terminal switch on a 95 Club Car as long as it is used for the forward/reverse switch. Feedback from customers has been mixed. While some have found the product to be well-made and functional, others have found the switches to be of cheap quality and prone to breakage. Some customers have had to bend the contact levers to make it work properly, and others have found that the prongs break as soon as it is used.
