- This lathe correction tool is about 4 inches long and made of 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch high carbon steel. It fits any tool holder that can accommodate a 1/2 inch square tool head
- This correction tool is used to center and correct small pieces of stock that are too short to fit fully into the chuck
- Usage steps: a. Clamp the bar stock loosely. Gently pull the tool holder in and lightly touch the surface of the bar stock, b. Rotate the chuck by hand at the same time. The roller will hit the high point and quickly correct the bar stock for cutting or correction. c. Before cutting, be sure to tighten the workpiece in place. There are bearings on both ends so you can rotate the tool holder 90 degrees and use it for the bar stock you want to turn or correct
