This Bestar double wall bed is a well-designed piece of furniture that offers comfort and convenience. The bed can support up to 1000 lbs and it can accommodate most standard queen mattresses from 8-12" in thickness. The Euro Slat bed base increases sleeper's comfort and it doesn't require a box spring. The installation of the bed is easy and it can be installed with 8-foot ceilings. Unfortunately, the bed doesn't come with overhead lights as it is not a feature of this particular model. The bed has a little shelf headboard already and there is a way to add a headboard when the bed is down, although it is not clear if it can be removed when the bed is put back up. The holes for the handles are pre-drilled but cannot be changed to another direction as they will then expose the pre-drilled holes. As for shipping, customers should expect three boxes that range in weight and size. Although the maximum mattress thickness allowed is 12", the mattress can be heavier than the recommended weight. However, the blanket needs to be tucked under the mattress so it does not fall down when the bed is closed.
